Our Story
For Tomorrow Project was founded on a simple yet powerful idea: meaningful change begins when people invest in one another.
Since 2017, our organization has worked to develop leaders, strengthen communities, and create opportunities for growth and transformation. What began as a mentoring-focused organization evolved over time into something much larger—a platform for community impact, leadership development, partnership-building, and innovative initiatives designed to address the needs of today while preparing for the opportunities of tomorrow.
As our work expanded, we recognized the need for a name that reflected the full scope of our vision.
That vision became For Tomorrow Project.
The name represents our commitment to creating lasting impact that extends beyond the present moment. Every program, partnership, and initiative is designed with future generations in mind.

Why We Rebranded
For Tomorrow Project was originally established as LIGHT Mentoring in 2017, an organization dedicated to leadership development, mentorship, and community engagement.
Over the years, our mission grew beyond mentoring alone. We expanded our focus to include broader community initiatives, strategic partnerships, financial literacy, veteran-focused programs, entrepreneurship opportunities, and innovative projects designed to create sustainable impact.
While LIGHT Mentoring reflected our beginnings, For Tomorrow Project reflects our future.
This new name reflects our broader vision today and where we are headed—an organization committed to building opportunities, strengthening communities, and creating meaningful change that extends far beyond the present.
